How it works

From sketch to service window

You deal with one team the whole way. We manage the build and delivery so you can focus on your menu, your permits and your launch.

  1. Consult

Tell us your menu, budget, city and timeline. We'll recommend the right format.

  2. Design & quote

You get a layout drawing, equipment list and a full landed price, including freight and import.

  3. Build

Fabrication takes 2 to 4 months depending on size and complexity, with photo and video updates at each stage.

  4. Ship

We handle ocean freight and customs into a Canadian or US port.

  5. Hand over

Delivery to your site, a full walkthrough, and support after you open.

Built for where you'll operate

Permits are part of the plan

Rules for mobile kitchens change from city to city. We find out what your local health department, fire office and inspectors expect before the build starts, not after it lands.

Equipment

Specified to the certifications your jurisdiction asks for, such as CSA, UL or NSF listed equipment.

Gas & electrical

Propane and electrical systems planned around local codes and your inspector's requirements.

Health & fire

Sinks, water, ventilation and fire suppression laid out to match your plan-review checklist.

Paperwork

Drawings and equipment specs ready to submit with your permit applications.

We've stood behind the service window ourselves.

Build Food Trucks started with our own shipping-container burger kitchen. We designed it, built it, and ran it through a full season. That taught us what matters in a mobile kitchen: a layout that keeps the line moving, equipment that survives the heat, and a build that passes inspection the first time.

Now we bring that experience to operators across North America, paired with a manufacturing workshop that has built mobile kitchens for restaurant brands, coffee chains and independent operators.

  • Operator experience on every design decision
  • Fully custom builds, not catalogue units
  • One landed price with freight and import laid out
  • Progress photos and video throughout the build

Questions

Good to know

How much does a build cost?

It depends on the format, size and equipment. A cart and a fully fitted 40 ft container are very different projects. Send us your idea and we'll come back with a detailed quote showing the build, freight and import costs.

How long does it take?

Builds take 2 to 4 months, depending on the size and complexity of your unit. Shipping time depends on your delivery location, and your quote includes a full timeline.

Will it pass inspection where I am?

We research your local requirements before the build and specify equipment and systems to match. Final approval always rests with your local authorities, and we'll support you through the process.

Can you brand it for me?

Yes. Colours, wraps, signage, menu boards and lighting can all be designed and installed as part of the build.

Do you deliver to the US as well as Canada?

Yes. We deliver across Canada and the United States.
